Nigeria In The Semi-Final of FIFA Under 17 World Cup

The Nigerian Golden Eaglets has qualified for the semi - final of the ongoing FIFA Under - 17 World Cup in United Arab Emirates, by knocking out Uruguay with the goal margin of 2 - 0 scored by Taiwo Awoniyi on Saturday.

Awoniyi who replaced the injured Success Isaac, scored the first goal in the 18th minute when Kelechi Iheanacho, put a pass through to him and he tucked it away into the net like a gifted goal poacher.

The Eaglets dorminated the match with good ball possessions and passes, but the Uruguay put up a good fight. Both teams missed some good chances to score. The two goalkeepers saved some scary moments for their teams too.

Iheanacho and Awoniyi had good understanding up front, just as Isaac and Iheanacho had good understanding of each other's movements.
